Paralegal - Bankruptcy, Foreclosure & Creditors' Rights
LHH has partnered with a wellestablished Portlandbased law firm is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys in its bankruptcy, foreclosure, and creditors' rights practice areas. This position offers longterm stability, a collaborative team environment, and a balanced hybrid schedule after initial onboarding.
Role Summary
This paralegal will provide handson support across a range of creditorfocused matters, including bankruptcy filings, foreclosure actions, and collections. The role requires strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously while meeting court and client deadlines.
What You'll Do
Support attorneys with bankruptcy, foreclosure, collections, and creditors' rights matters
Prepare, file, and process pleadings, motions, and related court documents
Review case files and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Track deadlines and manage case calendars
Assist with judgments, bankruptcy proceedings, and foreclosure actions
Coordinate with internal staff and provide direction to legal assistants or administrative support as needed
Maintain organized and accurate case records
Required Experience & Skills
At least 3 years of experience in bankruptcy, foreclosure, or creditors' rights (experience in one area is sufficient)
Prior experience working as a paralegal in a legal, collections, or creditorfocused environment
Familiarity with Oregon and Washington court rules and filing procedures
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems
Strong organizational, prioritization, and timemanagement skills
Clear written and verbal communication abilities
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and staff
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Availability to meet a billable expectation of 1,200 hours per year (approximately 100 hours per month)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac foreclosure guidelines and reporting
Completion of a certified paralegal program or related training
Clientfocused mindset with strong interpersonal skills
Comfort learning and using new technology
Teamoriented and proactive work style
Compensation & Benefits
Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 annually, depending on experience
Location: Portland, OR
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite for first 90 days, then up to 2 days remote)
Work Type: 37.5 per week, full - time
$100 monthly transportation stipend
Retirement plan with safe harbor contribution and firm profitsharing (eligible after 90 days of fulltime employment)
Vacation: 10 days annually (available after 6 months; prorated first year)
Sick leave: 2 weeks per year, available on Day 1 (prorated first year)
1 floating holiday (available after 90 days)
Paid holidays including New Year's Day, MLK Jr. Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and following day, and Christmas Day
Paid community service time (up to 2 hours per month, max 8 hours annually)

This posting is a representative sample of the types of roles we typically place with our clients. Depending on the specific client, location, and role, the salary range is estimated to be $75,000 - $90,000 per year and benefits may include medical, dental, vision, and 401k plans.
