Job Overview
Blank Rome is seeking an independent and detail-oriented Paralegal to support the attorneys on a variety of International Trade matters. Under the direction and supervision of attorneys, Paralegals are expected to provide advanced, complex assistance in support of client case teams.
This role is a hybrid working arrangement. Potential candidates must live within commuting distance of our Washington, DC office to be onsite 3 days per week. In this role, you will report to the Director of Paralegal Services.
Essential Functions
Monitor, update, and maintain case files on a daily basis. Communicate regularly with team regarding case updates and developments.
Organize and update electronic databases and ensure compliance with confidentiality requirements by monitoring and maintaining security groups with access to document collections.
Assist with the preparation and filing of submissions before the U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Commission, and related appellate courts, ensuring adherence to rules and all e-fling procedures.
Prepare and maintain case timelines and team calendars.
Draft, proofread, and edit documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
Arrange for case logistics and copy requests.
Research, monitor, and perform analysis of news and other internet resources related to international trade developments.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Provide attorneys with general organizational support.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Work additional hours as needed to fulfill job requirements.

Skills/Qualifications
1-3 years of paralegal experience.
Experience and/or interest in international trade.
Bachelor's degree required.
Spanish language skills preferred, but not required. Proficiency with other languages is a plus.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to develop positive working relationships (in-person and virtually).
Ability to identify and analyze complex problems to recommend and implement solutions.
Ability to work under pressure while producing a high volume of information with meticulous accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong PC knowledge and ability to navigate various online electronic filings with government agencies.
Ability to manage multiple tasks with effective organizational skills.
Proven problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Outlook, Teams), with a strong knowledge of Excel
Proficient in web-based document-sharing applications.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $70,000. Actual salaries will depend on a candidate's geographic location, relevant experience, and skillset. The salary range listed is just one component of Blank Rome's total compensation package for employees. Other monetary rewards include annual discretionary bonuses based on performance and profit-sharing contributions based on eligibility and firm profitability.
