Role Description This is a full-time role for an Associate Attorney specializing in plaintiff employment Law. The firm's main office is in Westlake Village, CA with satellite offices in Brea and San Diego. The Civil Litigation Paralegal will assist our attorneys with the management of civil cases by drafting legal documents, conducting legal research, and organizing case files, discovery, and evidence. Responsibilities include managing calendars and deadlines, filing documents with courts, communicating with clients and witnesses, preparing for hearings and trials, and providing in-court support. Key skills for a successful civil paralegal are strong research, organization, and communication, along with proficiency in legal software and case management tools. Duties/Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and initial case assessments. Drafting/editing discovery, correspondences, pleadings, and other legal documents. Execute administrative duties. Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Filing and organization of case files including calendaring court deadlines & serving legal documents Manage trial preparation for the attorney and post-trial procedures. Gather and organize relevant information from a variety of sources. Liaise between trial teams and internal/external third parties. Provide assistance with case settlement.
