Dynamic Aviation is seeking an experienced and strategic General Counsel to lead the company's legal, compliance, and contracts functions across domestic and international operations, with significant exposure to U.S. Government contracting and regulated programs. Reporting directly to the President this role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, supporting growth initiatives while ensuring legal, regulatory, and contractual compliance. The General Counsel will play a critical role in corporate governance, government contracts oversight, risk management, and dispute resolution, while fostering a strong culture of ethics, compliance, and accountability across the organization. Key Responsibilities Executive Legal Leadership Serve as chief legal advisor to the CEO, President, and senior leadership on legal risk, regulatory exposure, and strategic business initiatives Provide practical, business-oriented legal counsel in support of government, commercial, and international operations Partner with leadership to align legal strategy with operational and growth objectives Government Contracts & Regulatory Compliance Provide legal oversight and guidance related to U.S. Government contracts , including compliance with FAR, DFARS, ITAR/EAR Advise on bid protests, contract disputes, terminations, claims, audits, and investigations Support internal teams on issues related to cost allowability, ethics, mandatory disclosures, audits, and compliance reviews Serve as legal liaison with government agencies, contracting officers, inspectors general, and regulators, as appropriate Corporate Governance & Disclosure Lead the company's corporate governance framework, including policies, internal controls, and decision-making processes Maintain core governance documentation and support executive- and board-level processes, where applicable Oversee corporate disclosures, certifications, and regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Ensure governance practices align with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards Contracts & Commercial Strategy Lead and direct the Corporate Contracts department and team members Draft, review, negotiate, and manage complex agreements, including government contracts, subcontracts, teaming agreements, MSAs, SOWs, EPC/design-build contracts, and vendor agreements Advise on contract risk allocation, indemnification, limitations of liability, and dispute resolution strategies Act as an authorized agent of the company in significant contractual and commercial transactions Risk Management & Litigation Identify legal and regulatory risks and develop mitigation strategies aligned with business objectives Oversee dispute resolution, claims, subpoenas, investigations, and litigation strategy Manage outside counsel and legal budgets to ensure efficient, cost-effective support Support insurance strategy, crisis response, and enterprise risk initiatives Organizational Enablement & Ethics Develop and deliver internal legal, ethics, and compliance training programs Foster a proactive culture of compliance, transparency, and accountability Collaborate cross-functionally with program teams, contracts, finance, HR, and operations Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active membership in good standing with a U.S. state bar (or ability to obtain) 10-15 years of progressive legal experience (to include US and international), including 5+ years in a senior in-house counsel role Demonstrated experience supporting government contractors or highly regulated environments Strong working knowledge of government contracts law, compliance frameworks, and regulatory risk Proven expertise in corporate governance, contracts, compliance, and risk management Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills Ability to balance legal risk with operational and commercial objectives Express in your application that you found the job on GoInhouse.com Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting DoD, federal civilian agencies, or aviation-related government programs Familiarity with audits, investigations, and compliance monitoring in government contracting environments Experience supporting international operations or cross-border contracting Background in engineering, aviation, infrastructure, or technically complex industries Additional Requirements Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required Ability to work effectively with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders Ability to obtain or maintain a security clearance, if required
