Established (15+ Years) Premier Firm Seeking Paralegal for Plaintiff Personal Injury Practice in Albany, NYAn established firm based in Albany, NY with over 15 years in practice is seeking a Paralegal with 3-5+ years of experience to join their team fully onsite. This role will support a tight-knit team of trial attorneys handling a broad range of plaintiff personal injury matters, including automobile accidents, motorcycle crashes, construction site injuries, medical malpractice, pharmaceutical negligence, products liability, and sexual abuse survivor representation.Offer: Salary range: $55,000-$67,000+, contingent on experienceFull health insurance coverageRetirement plan with employee contributions up to 10% and a 1.5% firm matchRegular performance-based bonusesAdditional significant bonuses tied to the successful settlement or collected verdict of major casesClear long-term career growth within a firm that recognizes and rewards exceptional contribution and dedicationQualifications: 3-5+ years of paralegal experience supporting plaintiff personal injury litigationParalegal certificate, Associate's degree, or Bachelor's degree preferredStrong working knowledge of New York civil procedure, court filing rules, and discovery deadlinesHands-on experience drafting pleadings, discovery demands and responses, bills of particulars, and motion papersFamiliarity with medical records retrieval, summarization, and chronology preparationProficiency with case management software, NYSCEF e-filing, and Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance carriers, and opposing counselHighly organized with sharp attention to detail and the ability to manage a heavy caseload in a fast-paced litigation environmentDemonstrated discretion and sensitivity when working with clients on emotionally difficult mattersResponsibilities: Provide comprehensive litigation support from intake through settlement or verdict across a diverse plaintiff personal injury caseloadDraft, format, and finalize pleadings, discovery demands and responses, subpoenas, bills of particulars, and correspondence under attorney supervisionRequest, organize, and summarize medical records, billing records, employment records, and other key case documentationPrepare detailed medical chronologies, damages summaries, and case reports to support settlement negotiations and trial preparationE-file documents through NYSCEF and ensure compliance with all New York state court filing deadlinesCoordinate depositions, independent medical examinations, and expert witness schedulingMaintain organized physical and electronic case files and ensure accurate calendaring of all critical deadlinesCommunicate regularly with clients to provide case updates, gather information, and support them throughout the litigation processAssist attorneys with trial preparation, including assembling exhibits, coordinating witnesses, and preparing trial bindersLiaise with insurance adjusters, medical providers, court personnel, and outside vendors as needed to move cases forward efficiently
