**Key Responsibilities:**

- Assist attorneys with daily administrative tasks, including managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and maintaining files.

- Draft, prepare, and proofread legal documents, correspondence, and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal procedures.

- Manage electronic and paper filing systems, ensuring all documents are organized and accessible.

- Conduct legal research and gather information necessary to assist in case preparation.

- Serve as a point of contact for clients, maintaining professional communication and ensuring their needs are addressed promptly.

- Assist in preparing for meetings, hearings, and trials by organizing materials and coordinating logistics.

- Maintain and update client records and case management databases with accuracy and confidentiality.

- Coordinate with court personnel, clients, and other legal professionals to facilitate case progress.

- Handle telephone calls, emails, and other correspondence in a professional and timely manner.

- Support billing and accounting functions, including tracking billable hours and processing invoices.

- Ensure office supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.

**Qualifications:**

- Proven experience as a legal secretary or administrative assistant in a law firm or legal department.

- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.

- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, legal research tools, and case management software.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree in a related field preferred.

**Preferred Skills:**

- Familiarity with local court systems and procedures.

- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
