This role offers hands-on litigation experience, significant responsibility, and direct client interaction. The position is primarily focused on automobile insurance defense (approximately 80%), with additional exposure to general liability matters, including premises liability, dram shop/liquor liability, social host liability, and homeowners' claims. This is an excellent opportunity for a lateral associate looking to deepen their litigation experience within a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Litigation Associate Attorney Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload focused primarily on automobile insurance defense matters Handle general liability cases including premises liability, dram shop, social host, and homeowners' claims Work on UM/UIM matters, insurance coverage issues, and appellate assignments as needed Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal correspondence Conduct depositions, court appearances, and mediations Represent clients in hearings, arbitrations, and trial proceedings (as applicable) Maintain proactive communication with clients and insurance carriers Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient case strategy and execution Litigation Associate Attorney Qualifications: Admission to the New Jersey Bar (required); New York and/or Pennsylvania admission is a plus 2-6 years of litigation experience preferred, ideally in insurance defense Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills Experience handling depositions and court appearances preferred Ability to manage a caseload independently in a fast-paced environment Commitment to professionalism, client service, and high-quality work Why join us: Hybrid work schedule offering flexibility Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage Life and long-term disability insurance Flexible spending accounts (health and dependent care) 401(k) with a 10% company match Discounted gym membership at RWJ Fitness & Wellness Centers Firm-sponsored events including an annual family picnic, holiday party, and wellness initiatives Ongoing professional development and growth opportunities Pa y: $100,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year Similar Jobs Associate (Insurance Regulatory & Compliance - ...
