PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)

Provide oversight and leadership for all legal needs, including activities to be performed inhouse or tactically through third-party providers, to efficiently manage legal activities and mitigate risk for the business unit.
Lead the structuring, drafting, negotiation, approval, and management of a wide variety of global
commercial agreements, including customer agreements, distribution agreements, vendor contracts, logistics agreements, and strategic relationship agreements, spanning the breadth of
products and services.
Partner with executive leadership and cross-functional teams (operations, sales, finance,
quality, and HR) to support strategic initiatives, product launches, supply chain activities,
and international expansion.
Advise and support the protection and management of intellectual property, including
patents, trademarks, and confidential business information.
Oversee defense and prosecution of commercial litigation; manage outside counsel and
litigation costs; develop prudent case strategies with input from business units and outside
counsel.
Develop, implement and manage legal policies and procedures and ensure compliance
with regulatory requirements, including trade compliance, with a focus on continuous process and quality improvement.
Develop and deliver training to employees on key legal and compliance topics such as contracting practices, regulatory requirements, and ethical business conduct.
Monitor new and emerging developments in applicable worldwide regulations and laws, and
identify potential impacts on current and future product and service offerings.
Provide additional legal support on other matters and assume other responsibilities, as needed.
Keep abreast of (i) changes in company product and service offerings, and (ii) trends influencing
the company and the successful management of company legal affairs.

seamlessly use those platforms with a distributed company workforce

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

J.D. degree from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law
7+ years corporate legal experience
Experience working in a technology and IP driven environment a plus
Experience in working with a publicly listed company also a plus
