The Senior Case Manager is a key member of the Pre-Litigation Case Management team, responsible for supporting both the Case Manager and Lead in handling personal injury cases from intake through settlement. This role ensures case files are proactively managed, clients are well-supported, and case progress aligns with firm standards. Reporting to the Case Management Manager, the Senior Case Manager provides advanced case support and contributes to the development and efficiency of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Case Manager and Lead with complex personal injury case files throughout the pre-litigation phase.
- Maintain direct communication with clients, medical providers, and insurance adjusters to ensure timely updates and documentation.
- Oversee collection and organization of medical records, bills, and other supporting documents.
- Track medical treatments and ensure clients are receiving recommended care.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare demand packages and case summaries.
- Assist in the negotiation of liens and the preparation of settlement disbursements.
- Mentor and support junior case management staff to ensure best practices and compliance with firm procedures.
- Identify and recommend process improvements for case flow and client service.
- Uphold strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical legal standards and firm policies.
Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in personal injury case management, specifically in pre-litigation.
- Strong knowledge of Texas personal injury law and case procedures.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in case management systems (e.g., Needles, Filevine, or Clio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a senior or supervisory case management role.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and lien resolution processes.
- Commitment to delivering excellent client service and maintaining professionalism under pressure.
