Job Duties

The Ohio Department of Development's Legal Services Division is presently looking to hire an Associate Legal Counsel to provide legal services to all of the department's divisions assigned areas. The position will review and assist in the preparation of proposals and contracts, provide legal advice, monitor litigation, answer legal inquiries from government officials and the general public, draft memos, and interpret applicable statutes and rules governing Development programs.

Qualifications

1. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Ohio.

2. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating legal agreements.

3. Proficiency in statutory interpretation.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

5. Business transactional experience preferred.
