Job Title: Trust + Estate Paralegal
Location: Vernon, CT

Our client, a well-established law firm serving Connecticut for over 60 years, is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Trust and Estate Paralegal to join its team at in Vernon, CT. The ideal candidate will have experience in trust and estate administration and a strong foundation in finance or accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys with all aspects of trust and estate administration
  • General administration and bookkeeping of estates and trusts
  • Gather, identify, and value assets
  • Manage retitling of assets and related administrative tasks
  • Prepare probate documents and financial accountings
  • Prepare estate tax returns and fiduciary income tax returns
  • Communicate with clients, court clerks, brokerage personnel, and accountants

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in trust and estate administration or a related field
  • Strong background in finance, taxation, bookkeeping, or accounting
  • Excellent organizational, mathematical, and computer skills
  • Experience with scheduling, timekeeping, and billing software
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work directly and professionally with clients
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Stable employment history
