About the Role:
Are you ready to bring your litigation expertise to the fast-paced world of debt collection? Join a dynamic legal team embedded within a prominent collection agency on Wall Street on a 100% REMOTE basis, where you'll have the rare opportunity to shape case strategies from the ground up.
Location: 100% Remote - Full-time Contract Attorney
Pay Rate: $45-$50/hour (Based on Experience)
What Youll Do:
- Craft compelling discovery requests and deliver incisive responses, leveraging your keen understanding of civil procedure to uncover key facts that will strengthen our cases.
- Prepare sharp, persuasive motions, including motions for summary judgment, that leave no room for doubt.
- Partner closely with the senior attorney to discuss case strategies, refine legal arguments, and ensure seamless document preparation.
- Navigate the complexities of civil procedure with confidence, ensuring every step aligns with legal standards and maximizes outcomes.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience: At least 3 years of commercial litigation experience
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with litigation processes and civil procedure rules. Collections or merchant cash advance experience is a plus.
- Skillset: Exceptional writing and analytical skills, particularly in drafting motions and legal documents.
- Team Player: Works effectively with diverse teams, valuing open communication and shared goals.
Compensation & Duration:
- Hourly Rate: $45-$50/hour, commensurate with experience.
