Small, but busy solo attorney business immigration practice is looking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Immigration Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the managing attorney in all aspects of employment-based immigration matters for corporate and individual clients. This role requires impeccable organizational skills, the ability to triage multiple priorities, and an experienced understanding of employment-based U.S. immigration processes and procedures. South Sound based hybrid role with weekly in-office requirement - exact schedule TBD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, file, and monitor employment-based immigration petitions, including but not limited to H-1B, L-1A/B, TN, E-2, O-1, PERM, NIW, EB-1/2/3, J-1 Waiver, and AOS applications.
  • Draft petition letters, forms, supporting documentation, and correspondence to government agencies.
  • Track and manage case deadlines, expiration dates, and government processing timelines using legal case management system.
  • Communicate directly with clients to gather information, provide case updates, and ensure timely submission of documentation.
  • Maintain organized digital case files in accordance with firm protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of meaningful experience as a paralegal in business immigration law.
  • Proficiency with immigration case management software. Firm uses BlueDot, but experience with similar programs is relevant (e.g., INSZoom, LawLogix, Tracker, etc.).
  • Exceptional attention to detail, legal writing, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations.
  • The firm is paperless, to the extent permitted by law. Must be expertly skilled in virtual communication, MS Office Suite, pdf editing, and similar software programs.
