Small Boutique Family Law Firm Looking for a Full-Time Paralegal with Family Law Experience for a remote position.
Pay Range: (85,000-105,000)
Qualifications: 1) Paralegal Certification or Degree in Paralegal Studies
2) 2+ years Family Law experience preferred

Responsibilities:
-Assist with the preparation, filing and service of pleadings.
-Act as liaison among all parties including court or other neutrals for scheduling and/or sharing information
-Organizing and managing documents, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval systems
-Coordinating the collection, review and production of documents, and responding to discovery requests, including declarations of disclosures
-Assist with trial preparation including the assembly of exhibits, witness binders and appendices for depositions and court filings
-Summarizing deposition and trial transcripts and exhibits
-Research case-related factual issues using in-house files and outside reference sources
-Compiling information and preparing statistics, charts, graphs and other summaries to detail the findings
-Calling potential clients to determine interest in retaining firm including tracking leads and maintaining conflict databases after inquiries
-Scheduling appointments for attorneys and maintaining calendar regarding the same
-Calendaring deadlines from trigger events such as receipt of mail, pleadings, letters, orders, petitions, motion filings, etc. including updating calendar and reminders
-Tracking time in billing software, entry of expenses, reimbursements, etc. paid on behalf of clients
-Drafting letters, intakes, correspondence, emails, etc.
-Using e-signature platforms
-Remote work includes use of zoom and other remote set up for remote position at law firm
-Support partners in complex tasks as needed. Other duties as necessary to transact work as a law firm
-Follow all policies and procedures of the firm

Requirements:
-Paralegal Studies Degree, or a Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
-2+ years of significant and substantive litigation experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm setting
-Experience drafting, cite-checking, and correcting legal briefs (trial and appellate)
-Experience managing medium to large-scale document productions.
-Proficiency with case management software, word, outlook, adobe pro, attorney service and odyssey filing portals for the State of California
-Experience connecting with the public to assist clients to resolve client needs
