Job Description

A 9-attorney firm located in Glendale seeks Legal Secretary/Assistant with minimum of 8 years of experience in civil litigation and business transactional work.  Job duties include preparation of pleadings for court filing and service, preparation of discovery and discovery responses, preparation of contracts and agreements and other business transaction documents, file management of electronic and hard copies of incoming/outgoing correspondence, pleadings and documents, occasionally transcribe attorney dictation and other general office duties.  The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Knowledge of all phases of civil litigation
  • Knowledge of State court rules
  • Experience with e-Filing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word
  • Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge and use of Mozilla Thunderbird
  • Strong typing skills
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Pay close attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time and multi-task effectively
  • Strong organizational/clerical skills
  • Professional appearance
  • Reliable and punctual

Salary commensurate with experience.
