Estate Plan, Probate, Trust Administration, Conservatorship Law Firm in the South Bay Area seeks to add a full time, experienced Paralegal.
We are looking for an individual who is self-motivated and enjoys working with people to help ensure smooth office operations and effective case handling. You will provide a broad spectrum of legal services under the supervision of an attorney.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to lawyers.
Effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, vendors, visitors, etc.
Conduct research, when requested.
Locate and develop case-relevant information.
Draft and file basic legal documents and correspondence, wills, trusts, powers of attorney and other related documents.
Assist with trust administration and probate matters and related documents.
Answer phone calls and direct calls to the appropriate person.
Maintain contact lists and client files.
Monitor deadlines and juggle calendars.
Skills and Experience
Familiarity with law, legal procedures and protocols, and court system.
Satisfactory knowledge of day-to-day operations of a legal office.
Computer literacy and ability to learn new software; experience with Clio a plus.
Proficiency in English.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Able to juggle multiple competing priorities and work well under pressure.
Paralegal Certification or Paralegal Associate's degree required with relevant work experience as a Paralegal. Alternatively, Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year of supervision by a licensed attorney and relevant experience as a Paralegal.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour DOE
