Responsibilities include preparation of international filing documents, composing and typing correspondence, generation of form letters, photocopying, proofreading, preparation of international courier forms, data entry and various clerical duties.
This position will require an individual with meticulous attention to detail, combined with excellent communication, spelling, grammar, proofreading and organizational skills. In addition, strong computer skills, proficiency with MSWord and accurate typing of 50 WPM are required. Prior administrative assistance and experience with FileMaker Pro is preferred.
This position will report to the International Filing Manager.

Job Overview:
ATMI is seeking a qualified, highly energetic Intellectual Property (IP) Paralegal to manage the implementation, administration and evolution of ATMI?s intellectual property portfolio management system for storage, maintenance and communication of intellectual property assets across the organization. The successful candidate must be able to work as a member of a larger legal team, as well as independently manage a variety of projects. The ideal candidate will have IP experience and possess project management skills with an ability to manage projects across multiple sub-teams. This position is located in our corporate office in Danbury, Connecticut.
Primary Responsibilities:
Data entry/validation across various modules;
Reporting on a monthly, weekly and daily basis for IP Professionals;
Maintaining and managing the IP portfolio management system;
Ensuring that all docket dates have been cleared daily;
Assisting attorneys and staff to meet client needs by completing assigned projects;
Obtaining signatures for formal documents;
Maintaining all electronic patent and trademark files;
Facilitate transition to paperless office environment;
Processing invoices from US and foreign associates, vendors or other organizations;
Monitoring the status of patents, patent applications, trademarks and trademark applications;
Planning, coordinating, and facilitating all phases of the IP software implementation project;
Ensuring accuracy of data mapping;
Managing software configurations to ensure workflow matches ATMI requirements;
Documenting and implementing workflows;
Preparing training materials relevant to ATMI business requirements;
Manage calendars and schedule meetings for IP Professionals.
Education/Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience;
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel; good oral and written communication skills to convey understanding;
Software skills including spreadsheets and flow-diagrams;
Excellent problem solving skills;
Project management experience;
Contract experience a plus;
Experience with patent and trademark filings a plus;
1+ years experience with IP docketing/management software a plus;
Technical background a plus;
Legal interest/experience a plus;
Invoicing and budgeting experience a plus;
Training experience a plus.
