PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:
Provides legal interpretation in the form of analysis, writing, and research, to support the acquisition and/or production of compliance information/data/products for Compliance Advisor and other compliance products.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Leadership/Training (5%):
* Acts as positive role model; provides leadership and work direction within the Editorial.
* Operation and to business partners.
* Prepares documentation and conducts training.
* Organizes and facilitate meetings, such as team meetings, task forces, and committees.
2. Content Creation and Preparation (65%):
* Research electronic legal resources to create information on regulatory compliance requirements for specific industries.
* Continually review and analyze new laws and regulations affecting regulatory compliance issues.
* Write original notification of any law and regulation changes affecting regulatory compliance issues.
* Write and maintain summary documents about regulatory compliance topics.
3. Product Responsibility (15%):
* Monitors legal trends and developments relating to the product line.
* Develops and maintains relationships with government and industry contacts.
4. Troubleshooting and Analysis (10%):
* Ensures content is publishable and has responsibility for information integrity, the integration of new information, and content of information.
* Reviews and audits data and changes. Resolves issues that develop during testing.
5. Individual and Team (5%):
* Attends and participates in team meetings, prioritizes own work, participates in the employee evaluation process (both peer reviews and self-evaluation), and attends professional and/or skills training (e.g., TU classes, CLE, etc.).
Qualifications
Education: Four-year college degree with 10 years relevant business experience in law publishing, or at least 10 years relevant business experience in compliance industry (e.g., health care, property and casualty insurance).
